Yappy's MAME Project
Week 4
This week started out with just pulling all the guts out of the formally known as NBA JAM Arcade box. The purchases this week were mainly materials to make the box. I peeled the NBA JAM Sticker off of the sides of the machine. Also I painted the bottom of the control panel over with black paint so that it does not say NBA JAMS anymore. I believe by week 5 I should have the side panels and the new Phase II control panel installed. |
This is the guts taken out of the Arcade machine. This is all the old Buttons and Controls as well as all the wires that connected the hardware. The Board you should see on eBay shortly. |

Formica, this is the same material used on counter or kitchen tops (cost $37.08). I bought it to use as the side panels of the Arcade machine. I had to peel the NBA Jam Sticker off off the sides because of the Adhesive will melt the plastic material of the sticker. |

See the naked Arcade machine. One of the hardest parts of this project will be to cut the Kitchen Top material. Notice the bottom of the control panel is all black now no more NBA JAM. Also it has been reduced to the two controls and 6 buttons each that will be moved over to the new control panel. |

This is kind of the after shot of what is inside the machine from week 1 page. The miracle component that makes it all happen The J-PAC! |

Let me introduce you to beginning stages of Phase II - My New Control panel. You can barely see it but the lines are all drawn out and the outer cuts are done as well as the center cut for the Trackball. |
